What College To Pick?

OK, well first I will say Congratulations for your finishing high school. You are now officially “An Adult” according to most. Actually, by now you should have picked a college of choice since high school “tries” to assist in this process. So, you are happy with your choice, right! I am pretty sure that a lot of you are shaking your heads “No” or have a “Dumb Found Look” of uncertainty. It’s ok! Trust me, not everyone is 100% sure of where they have picked and you will witness this for yourself once you are in your second semester sitting in your Psy 101 class and hear of at least 3 to 5 people talking about how they transferred from another school because they hated it. I guarantee you! Anyway, so back to the question, “What College to Pick?” My first suggestion is for you to do your own research. Whether you decide to venture off for a day or for a weekend, (depending on the location of the college) site see as well as get the inside scope from the already attending students themselves. Ask them what they think about the college as a whole, how are the professors, are they willing to provide extra help on assignments or do they bombard the students with ceiling high notes and no real explanations? If you’re a sports person, check out their facilities, talk to the coaches. Very importantly, especially if you will be dorming, you must, and I stress must visit the cafeteria. How is the food? A lot of colleges, now contract with outside catering companies that provide actual “close to home hot meals” you will value this trust me! Check out the Library facility, Computer facility…etc...I think you get my point. Treat your college visits as if you were checking out what your favorite car is equipped with, because if you care to make the right choice first it will benefit you in the long run.
You want a Great Experience!
